Below you will find the differences between high context and low context cultures according to Edward Hall, an American anthropologist who wrote an interesting book called Beyond Culture. Read through the differences and leave a comment letting me know which culture you think you belong to.
Hi, I'm from Italy and I think that italian culture is high context because we use a lot of gestures when we talk and we are never on time.
Teacher Weronika:
I call Poland home and I think my culture is a little bit of both but more low context because Polish people are very efficient, value time and follow the rules (most of the time).
